A trip I wont forget. On March 3,4 and 5, 2007. Makes it all the more special because I bunked office and made it to the trip.
Some pictures and a video as a gentle reminder that it was a trip I wont forget.

The famous sunday trip was planned today…we decided to go to melkotai….had been to this place a long time ago…and i wanted to go there….and also know why mani ‘sir’ has got such a predeliction to this place….
The Trip!!!
We started around 9:30….two cars for 6 people..bad idea…fun and comfortable at first …but about the economics…it was a real crap idea…no more abt it !!….anyway enetered mysore road..at 10:00 … broke our fast at lokaruchi (ok restaurant..but the only decent place int that road!!!..)….and then took a right from mandya circle towards melkotai…(36k frm there!!!)…and then it started…The weather was just too good…cloudy ..not so gloomy…cool and breezy ,almost windy….the route was completely desserted…just wheatgrass on the road..cows and a water stream (personally thank god for all this…esp the desserted part!!!)…just the odd vehicle…we wanted to stop everywhere and take photos.. 
… we reached by 12:15…
Confusion galore…we missed nandan’s car (very easy to….just blink ur eyes!!)…and they went to some temple..and we went to some temple…we had the darshan…nice temple(its in the city and not on the hill..)…..and then nandan on his ‘searchin for us’ endeavor…found us…!! and finally we ended up scolding him telling him that this was the main temple… … and then went to the ‘main’ temple (on the hill)..parked with difficulty…(yes!!! yes!! …parking problems!!!…)…climbed some real steep(read cruel) steps…and then enetred the temple…nothing like the other temple..it had some sheets in the rock…kinda diff…and then just went exploring the place ..and then found a dude near the entrance to the cave…
Cave..
I am claustrophobic…but that did not deter me from going inside the cave…it was fun at frst …dark and trying to grope around..hoping to find someone…u know filmi style… ….anyway it was ok….and then it started getting narower…narrower!!….i am not thin..but i am not fat…so u know narrower directly translates to trouble..anyway crossed that hurdle with some difficulty…(from my friends that is…)…and then immd what do we find???…and even narrower passage… .. paranoia sets in… with lot of self assurane that i wont die of choking in a room filled with friends who make obscene jokes at u .. i cross that as well…u have to real flat to cross that…and move like a slug…and then the ordeal was over…phew…
Pillars.
This place is very famous …it comes in many movies..dalapathi..lot of scenes and rakamma song….padiyappa…the famous theerpu place…it comes in other movies as well…its actually a nothing place…just 4 pillars coming out of nowhere..going nowhere……but still…its got some kind of atttraction to it…and then we climb to the top of it…and then boy…the wind…it just blew us away…literally….i was struggling to keep my feet….and after all the photos..we left..not b4 mom nature gives us somethin to remember the place…a drizzle ..more like a water spray out of barbers water bottle….
The concept of a cloudy..windy…cool day with a tryst of that spary..just was too too good to digest…

If u ever plan a gr8 trip to somewhere…and want to actually come back…make sure u dont hit mysore-magadir oad in bangalore at any time b/w 4-9 pm..its awful..and can have detrimental effects on ur sanity….

hi…
We decided to got out on May day …as usual the bedlam associated with our planning became evident ..it started the day before itself…AJ and myself were planning to go to some Resort ..so we decided upon Dharamshi Resorts…and as usual some were free in the moring and some were free only in the evening…so ..you know…blah blah…CANCEL!!!!….then i told AJ to come the next morning for swimming….and as luck would have it the pool management decided to paint the pool only on that day…..then off to the badminton court….the luck continued…it was crowded….realle crowded…!!!! then came back home….played cricket in my verandah with my cousins….and then Nandan ,Nithin and Trupti came to my house at 12:30….then slowly everyone were here by 1:30 …we had lunch in Ginger Greens near my place….the food was ok!!!but then the multi-million dollar question still was not answered….WHERE????…then vodk0 suggested some place….and we actually listened to him and took his directions..(we are gutsy people!!!)….The place was really good..serene and calm ..it was windy and little chill..it was not all that scenic…but which place is near a city…!!!….it was Jain temple …as opposed to the Buddha Temple as told by Vodko….:)……..all in all it was a nice trip…. catch the pictures @ http://frames4life.blogspot.com/

Today was no different …it all started as a trip to Nandi Hills …even though it is a cliched destination for bangloreans…..its been a while since i was there(i cant recall when i went there)….then the trip plans metamorphosed to Kolar – Kotilingeshwara with just me and Nandan ready to go there (we always are ready !!!!)….. then the plans was interspersed with some suggestions to go for the movies ..again with the votes divided on Mozhi or Mungaaru Male screwed that up!!!! then finally we cohesively(phew!!!) decided upon Garuda Mall….
We reached there no idea what time!!!! Then went to the Scary House …its gotta be the biggest joke in the mall….its not even a wee bit scary…the only time i felt apprehensive was when i was stuck between the door and 3 devils (expecting brickbats here!!!!)….
Amoeba was our next pitstop…..i always loooovvvvv places where i can rekindle my childhood……..jacked Sam in Air-Hockey…..i had a blast there….
How can one live without food….so thats where we went after that….was totally confused to eat…so took the easy way out and had a bit of everythin from everyone (thanks guys!!!)….
We kinda got bored after that …so back to my House!!!!!
Suddenly out of the blue somebody(think su!!!) came with this plan to celebrate Aj’s birthday …I love Sweet chariot cakes….so went there and bought a cake for him…anyway all this being obscure to the Birthday Boy….and then came back home….and cut the cake in my house with my parents….with the usual ‘Happy Birthday to You’ song….(this i think is again a instance of childhood rekindlement..) and then we took him to the terrace to flex our calf muscles against his butt…we were modest!!!!
Then again as usual..we started talking about College days(we always do this ..the same topics ..the same jokes..we dont ever get bored…atleast me!!!)….and then we end up getting nostalgic and start planning our next trip…
Was quite a Sunday!!!!
